Huntsville, Ala. - Finishing off the program's split-squad weekend, the Marian men's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers XC Invitational. Marian's efforts in the event flooded with NCAA DII and NAIA programs were led by
Tristan Trevino, who finished inside the top-10.
Marian recorded a sixth-place finish in the event, clocking a total team time of 2:06.03, while scoring 156 points. The Knights missed out on a top-five finish by 16 points, trailing Lee University for the fifth spot. Anderson of South Carolina won the event with a score of 47 and team time of 2:03, while Charelston (W.V.), UAH, and Embry-Riddle (Fla.) joined Lee in the top-five.Â
The top-finisher for the Knights was
Tristan Trevino, who placed eighth overall and sixth in team scoring with his 24:38.3 time.
Charles Leedke joined his teammate in the top-15 overall finishers, clocking a 24:41.7 time.
