Indianapolis, Ind. - The Marian women's bowling team hosted their first event of the 2025-26 season finishing in 11th at the Western Shootout over the weekend.
For the second week in a row the Knights were the top Crossroads League team in the event finishing in 11th. In the two day outing they recorded a total of 8305. In team play they knocked down 5448 pins and knocked down 2857 in baker play. Lindenwood University finished in first while Rochester and Tennessee Wesleyan rounded out the top three.
Out of the Crossroads League teams, Goshen finished in 15th, Huntington finished in 22nd, and Grace finished not far behind in 23rd.
Paige Richards once again led the way with an 11th place finish recording a total of 1195 pins knocked down with a game high of 219 in game two. Alexis Jones was the next to finish with a score of 1162 to record a 32nd place finish with a game high of 246 in game three.
Abigail Dwyer was the next Knight to finish with a 62nd place finish. Dwyer recorded a total of 1054 pins knocked down with a game high of 180 in game three.
Phoenix Newkirk was the next to finish bowling in five games recording a total of 871 with a game high of 200 in game four.
Dolores Bauerle bowled in three games with a total of 478 and a game high of 159 in game four.
Delaney Rossette bowled a total of two games finishing with a total of 369 recording a game high of 188 in game six.
Avery Hunt also bowled in a pair of games recording a total of 319 bowling a game high of 166 in game one.
In JV action the Knights finished in first and fifth overall out of seven teams recording a total of 7763 and 6920 pins. Emily Renau led the way finishing in 36th place overall. The other bowlers for the Knights included;

Marian will be back in action on November 1st and 2nd as they travel down to Marietta, Ga. to compete in the Bowlero Southern.
