Indianapolis, Ind. - The Marian women's bowling team finished its regular season hosting the Hoosier Classic over the weekend. The Knights finished in 19th out of the 64 teams in attendance, with
Paige Richards leading the way, finishing 23rd.
Marian bowled a total of 4878 before Baker games and ended with 7315. University of Pikeville came in first with 7994, while Mount Mercy University and Milligan rounded out the top three. Among the other Crossroads League teams in attendance, Goshen came in 35th, Huntington in 50th, Grace in 53rd, and Mount Vernon in 55th.
Paige Richards led the Knights bowling all five games and recorded an overall total of 1034, finishing in 23rd. Richards bowled a game high of 228 in both games two and four.
Mary Brooks recorded the second-highest score with 991, finishing in 49th. Brooks bowled all five games and bowled a game high of 265 in game three.
Abigail Dwyer finished in 59th place, bowling in all five games and recorded a total of 981, bowling a game high of 224 in game one.
Dolores Bauerle was the final Knight to bowl in all five games, finishing in 73rd with a total of 968. Bauerle bowled her best in game three with a total of 225.
Jaymie Clere bowled in three games, totaling a 510, bowling a high of 173 in game two. Alexis Jones was the final one to bowl for Marian, finishing with a total of 394 with a game high of 205 in game four.
The Knights will be back in action on March 14th and 15th as they compete in the USBC ITC Sectionals on the road.
