KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Coming off another top-25 victory, the Marian football team has jumped again in the newest NAIA Netting Professionals Top-25, taking the No. 7 spot in this week's coaching poll. This marks the seventh consecutive poll the Knights have gone up in the rankings.
The top-four teams in the NAIA remain the same entering this week, with Grand View holding the top spot, followed by Keiser, Benedictine, and Friends. Montana Tech, who was previously tied with Friends for fourth, has been shunted into the fifth spot. Dordt and Marian both gained one spot on the ranking board due to the Campbellsville loss over the weekend, with the Tigers falling from six to 11. Carroll, Lindsey Wilson, and Morningside round out the top-10 this week.
Marian remains the top-ranked team in the entire Mid-States Football Association, holding seventh nationally with their 7-1 overall record. Indiana Wesleyan jumped from 14 to 13 following the weekend's action, as they remain the leader in the Mideast League. Olivet Nazarene slid from 19 to 22, while Taylor and Saint Xavier remain in the receiving votes group.Â
The Knights will host Saint Francis (Ill.) this weekend in their first game of the month of November. Kickoff this weekend is set for 1:05 p.m.
