Greenwood, Ind. - The Marian women's volleyball team had four members of its program named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators NAIA Women's Volleyball Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon, adding to the Knights' postseason award haul. Marian was one of five schools to be represented from the Crossroads League, with four of the five teams earning the maximum four honors.

The CSC Academic All-District award is given to a student-athlete who maintains a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically and having played in at least 90 percent, or started in 66 percent of their team's contests throughout the current season. Individuals must also have been nominated by their Sports Information Department to make the list.

Each women's volleyball team is allowed up to four nominations, with selected CSC Academic All-District recipients advancing to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America honors. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk on the attached document and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced January 13, 2026.

Marian's honorees were Emma Lyons, Sarah Bennett, Khori Dryden, and Avery Toole. Both Lyons and Dryden were selected to the Academic All-America finalist ballot. 

Of Marian's 2025 honorees, Emma Lyons is a two-time recipient of the award. Lyons was also named to the AVCA NorthCentral Region Honorable Mention team earlier today.
