Men's Basketball Sees Three Knights Earn All-Crossroads League Honors

JACKSON, Mich. - On Wednesday, March 5, the Crossroads League announced their 2024-25 All-Crossroads League teams, and the Marian men's basketball team was recognized six teams between three athletes. Aidan Franks headlined Marian's awards as he was named as the Freshman of the Year in addition to his Second Team honor, while Dylan Moles and Noah Lovan each picked up Honorable Mention Team honors.

Aidan Frnaks burst on to the scene in his first full season as a Knight earning the Crossroads League Freshman of the Year in addition to being named to both the both Second Team and Freshman Team. Franks averaged 14.3 points per game overall for the season as he finished as the team's second-leading scorer, but within Crossroads League play the redshirt-freshman shined, as he scored a team-high 17.2 points per game against league foes. Franks began the season with a 24-point performance against IU-Southeast, continuing his rise as he began the 2025 portion of the schedule with a 26-point outbreak against Huntington. Two weeks following his outbreak against Hutington, Franks scored 31 points in an upset of Indiana Wesleyan, and just 11 days later he helped Marian pull the upset over Spring Arbor with a career-high 35 points. Franks started in 20 games on the season, and ended the season with seven games of 20 or more points.

Noah Lovan had a dominant freshman campaign, as he was the only member of the program to suit up for all 28 games, helping him land on both the Crossroads League Freshman Team and Honorable Mention Team. Lovan made 21 starts on the season, with his first coming against Spring Arbor where he recorded his first career 30-point game. The true freshman averaged 13.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, leading the Knights in assists, steals, and free throw attempts. Lovan scored in double figures in 15 of 28 games, recording a total of three games with 30 or more points on the season, with his top outing being the 32 point barrage against Grace on January 25.

Dylan Moles enjoyed a breakthrough sophomore season, starting in 25 of the 26 games he played as he earned All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention team honors. Moles was Marian's overall leading scorer on the campaign with 14.8 points per game, averaging 2.6 rebounds per game. The sophomore led the team at the foul line in percentage, shooting 98.1 percent as he went 53-54 overall, and on the year he scored in double digits in every game but three. Moles poured in a career-high 31 points against Judson on December 2, and scored 20 or more points in six different games.
