Marion, Ind.- The Marian women's track and field team continued in the NAIA National Outdoor Championships on Thursday earning one All-American honor and placing in 27th overall.
The Knights are currently in a six-way tie for 27th place overall with Graceland, Central Methodist, Huntington, Saint Francis (Ind.), and Southeastern all recording five points. British Columbia is in the lead with 44 points while Dickinson State, Taylor, Siena Heights, The Master's, and Montreat round out the top-five.Â
Nina Marinkovic opened up the day on the track in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.50 to place 14th in the prelims.
Ozofu Magaji started out action in the shot put finishing in 10th with a mark of 13.50m.
Nora Steele qualified in her 800m with a seventh place finish and a time of 2:11.37.
Emma Edwards and
Hanna Reuter competed in the 400m with Edwards finishing in 15th with a time of 57.99 and Reuter finishing in 11th with a time of 57.14. Steele,
Adrianna Boyd,
Katie Woods, and
Gracie Fields recorded the first points for the Knights with their fourth place finish in the 4x800m with a time of 9:10.99.Â
Delaney Teachnor closed out action in the field with her ninth place finish in the pole vault with a mark of 3.50m.
Hanna Reuter, Edwards,
Holli Reuter, and
Claire Lange ended out the night for Marian in the 4x400m relay. The Knights placed 10th overall with a time of 3:53.85.Â
The Knights will be back in action tomorrow with
Katie Woods opening up action on the track in the 1500m and
Brooke Coffman opening up action in the field in the high jump.
