INDIANAPOLIS - True freshman Alijah Price of the Marian football team has been named as the MSFA Midwest League Special Teams Player of the Week. Price, a first-year Knight from Ben Davis High School, earns the award after his first collegiate game.

Price was electric in the return game in the Marian season opener against UIndy, gashing the Hounds kickoff team for 147 yards on five returns. The freshman averaged 29.4 yards per return, and recorded the first game with over 100 kick return yards by an individual since September 16, 2023, when Jalen Jennings logged 120 yards on a pair of returns against Olivet Nazarene.

Price's big night included a 47 yard return, which would set up a fourth quarer touchdown by Keagan La Belle.

Marian plays their first road game of the season this weekend, traveling to Lawrence Tech. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Southfield, Michigan.
