Women's Bowling

Knights Opened 2026 at Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic

ADDISON, ILL. - The Marian women's bowling team finished the weekend with a 24th-place finish at the Kegel ISBPA Collegiate Classic. The Knights recorded 7286 points overall, with Alexis Jones leading the way, finishing 48th overall.

Mount Mercy University won the event with 8163 total points, while Judson finished in second with 8032 points. University of Northwestern Ohio finished in third while Lawrence Tech and SCAD-Savannah rounded out the top-5. Two other Crossroads League teams competed with Goshen finishing in 32nd and Huntington finishing in 38th. 

Alexis Jones led the Knights with her 48th-place finish, bowling in five games, recording a total of 961. Jones bowled a game high of 222 in game one. Paige Richards finished in 66th, also bowling in all five games, recording a 937 with a game high of 219 in game five. Dolores Bauerle bowled in three games, tabbing a 570, recording a game high of 201 in game four. Marianna Hunt also bowled in three games, recording a 529 overall total, tabbing a game high of 185 in game four. 

Phoenix Newkirk bowled in three games, recording a total of 490 and a game high of 198 in game one. The last of the Knights to bowl in three games was Jaymie Clere, who tabbed a 469 total with a game high of 166 in game two. Mary Brooks bowled in a pair of games with a total of 326 and a game high of 166 in game one. Abigail Dwyer bowled in one game tabbing a 161 overall.

Marian will be back in action as they host the Crossroads League Meet 3 on Saturday, January 24th, at Western Bowl.
