McNally's Record-Setting Performance Earns Her Second CL Player of the Week Sweep

Jackson, Mich. - Coming off a program-record 39 points in Marian's win over Bethel, senior women's basketball team member Abbey McNally was tabbed as the Crossroads League Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the second time this season McNally has swept the league awards.

McNally played a key role in Marian's 74-56 win over Bethel on Saturday, lighting up the scoreboard with a career-high performance of 39 points. McNally shot 17-24 from the field in the win, breaking her own Marian single-game scoring record in the process. On the defensive end, McNally grabbed 12 rebounds while totaling 16 rebounds in the game, while notching two steals and two blocks, recording her 11th double-double of the season. McNally's 39 points go in the books as a career-high, while her 16 rebounds are the second-most recorded in a game this season.

This is the second time this season Abbey McNally has won both the offensive and defensive player of the week honors, with the first coming three weeks ago, when she earned the honor after big performances against Ohio Christian and Taylor.

The honors are seventh for Abbey on the defensive end, while her offensive honor is the fourth in her career, bringing her career totals to 11 Crossroads League Player of the Week honors.

The Knights go on the road Wednesday night, traveling to Spring Arbor University for a 5:00 p.m. tip against the Cougars.
