Indianapolis, Ind. - The Marian competition cheer team opened their 2026 season hosting the Marian Knight Invite on Saturday, January 31st. The Knights won both duals against Spring Arbor in their home opener.

In round one, the Knights came out on top with a score of 84.88, while the Spring Arbor Cougars finished with 72.40 points. In round two, Marian was able to improve their score by .17, finishing out front with a total score of 85.05. The Cougars improved their score by 1.42 but came up short against the Knights, finishing with a score of 73.82. 

The Knights will be back in action on February 7th as they travel to Marion, Ind., to compete in Wildcat Weekend hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
