Georgetown, Ky. - The Marian competition cheer team continued its season this weekend, traveling to Georgetown, Kentucky, to compete in the Tiger Invite. The Knights finished in fourth place in both rounds on Saturday afternoon.
In round one, Marian scored 85 overall. The Cumberlands finished in first with a score of 94.05, while Georgetown came in second with 87.23 points, and Spring Arbor rounded out the top three with 86.11 points. The rest of the competition rounded out as follows: Cumberland came in fifth (79.55), Lindsey Wilson in sixth (70.30), Midway in seventh (68.63), and Brescia in eighth (58).
In round two, Cumberlands led the way once more with 87.33 points while Spring Arbor came in second with a score of 82.70. Cumberland finished in third with 77.23 points overall, and Marian came in fourth with a total of 76.36. The final three placements were Midway in fifth (70), Lindsey Wilson in sixth (68.68), and Brescia in seventh (68.20).
The Knights will be back in action in two weekends as they travel to Taylor University to compete in the Taylor Invitational on February 28th. Marian will hit the floor for round one at 6:30 PM and round two at 8 PM.
