JACKSON, Mich. - For the fourth consecutive week, Katie Woods of the Marian women's track and field team has been named as the Crossroads League's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week. Woods' honor is her fifth overall women's runner of the week honor this season, adding on one honor earned during cross country season.

Woods fueled another team championship for Marian at the league meet with wins in the 800-meters and 4x800-meter relay. Woods helped MU post the fastest time in the NAIA this season in the relay at 9:11.22 and posted the NAIA's second-best time of the year in the 800. Her time in the 800m race broke the previous meet record set in 2020 by five seconds, while the Knights broke their own CL meet record set previously in 2024. 

Marian next competes at the NAIA National Championships from March 5-7 in Gainesville, Florida.
