LEBANON, Ind. - The Marian women's golf team completed its regular season on Saturday afternoon, battling through wind, rain, and soggy playing conditions at the annual IU-Indy Lady Jaguar Invite. Marian finished tied with IU-Indy in the event, playing 18-holes due to the weather and course conditions.
Marian scored a 323 in the event, tying with the Jaguars for second place overall. Butler went on to win the four-team event with a 310 score, while DePauw finished fourth with a 334. The Tigers' Becky Williams and Bulldogs' Cybill Stillson tied for first place with a 76 on the day.
For the Knights,
Hailey Kirkland and
Maria Kennard led the team, scoring an 80 in the event to tie for ninth place.
Emma Weiler finished 13th overall in the event with her 81, and
Addyson Weiler scored an 82, tying with
Keara Eder for 15th overall.
Jordan Adam shot an 84 to place 20th overall.
Marian next plays at the Crossroads League Championships, looking to return to the top of the Crossroads League when the team takes the course on May 5 and 6 at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Ind.
