YPSILANTI, Mich. - For the final time in the 2025-26 season, the Marian women's golf team teed off with hopes of going low, as the Knights finished their final round of the 2026 NAIA National Championship on Friday afternoon. The Knights placed 11th overall in their NAIA Championship run, while
Emma Weiler led the team with an 18th-place finish.
Beginning the day in 13th place, the Knights slowly worked their way up the leaderboard as a team, playing their cleanest round of the week on Friday. Marian moved as high as ninth place on the final day of the championship, before dropping two positions by the end of the day to finish 11th overall. Marian shot its second +27, 315 score of the week, bringing the team's total to 948. Marian finished two shots behind Texas Wesleyan for 10th place, and was three back on Embry-Riddle for ninth.
SCAD-Savannah won the championship by one stroke over Dalton State, while Keiser and Indiana Wesleyan made up the top four finishing teams.
Individually,
Emma Weiler matched her best score of the week in the final round with a second consecutive 77, finishing five-over par on Friday afternoon. Weiler finished the tournament tied for 18th overall, totaling a 232 over the 54-hole championship. Behind Weiler, both
Keara Eder and
Jordan Adam tied for 42nd on the individual leaderboard, scoring a total of 237 for the week. Eder finished her collegiate career with a 79 in the final round, while Adam scored a 78 on Friday.
Hailey Kirkland completed the tournament in 62nd place, as she totaled a 242 for the three rounds of play. Kirkland completed the tournament with an 81 in the final round. Finishing Marian's efforts in the championship was
Addyson Weiler, who subbed in for
Maria Kennard in the final round. Weiler shot an 88 in her first-ever NAIA Championship round.
Marian's NAIA Championship finish concludes a season that saw the team win six tournaments, including the Crossroads League Championship for the third time in four seasons. Marian's efforts were rewarded by four CL Golfer of the Week honors, while
Emma Weiler was named a two-time NAIA Golfer of the Week. With ample experience returning to the 2026-27 roster, the Marian women's golf team aims to continue their string of success into another campaign.
