INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian softball team announced its final high school signing in its 2026 recruiting class, as head coach Scott Fleming announced the signing of Indiana native Sarah Hofmann. 

Sarah Hofmann joins the Knights as a former Roncalli Royal, as the Indianapolis native catches and plays third base for her high school team. As a junior, she batted .294 with seven doubles and one triple. logging 15 RBI in her season. Hofmann is on her way to being a four-year letterman on the Roncalli softball team, and was a member of the program's 2023 IHSAA State Runner-Up team. Hofmann has earned Academic All-State honors for softball. In addition to her athletic achievements, Hofmann is a bowler for Roncalli, earning four varsity letters and playing a role in the team's 2025 state championship.

Hofmann is the younger sister of current Knights centerfielder Abbey Hofmann. At Marian, Sarah Hofmann will major in exercise science.
