GOSHEN, IND. - The Marian women's soccer team recorded its first shutout Crossroads League win of the 2026 campaign at Goshen on Saturday afternoon. Four different Knights reached the back of the net in the matchup. Marian moves to 8-0-1 overall on the season and 2-0-0 in the Crossroads League.
Marian opened up the match with a pair of shots wide and high, before
Sienna Mullen and
Allie Tredway were each able to tally one each that were saved by the Maple Leafs goalie. The Knights recorded two more shots, with one on target, before
Erin Reilly fired off the first goal of the match with an assist from
Liz Fischer to take the 1-0 lead. After a pair of shots from
Sophia Dawson, she reached the back of the net on her third shot to increase the lead to two. In the next 13 minutes of play, Marian continued to fire off shots, recording six more, with three saved by the goalie and three blocked by Goshen's defense.
Ava Sivadat was able to fire off another goal before the half with an assist from
Esme Alaneme to extend the lead to 3-0 going into the half.
The Knights continued to maintain control, not allowing the Maple Leafs to fire off a single shot in the match.
Jordan Love opened the second half with a pair of shots, one firing wide right and one a tad high.
Reid Auten, Tredway, Sivadat, and Reilly were all able to fire off shots but came up short against the Maple Leafs goalie. The Knights were able to fire off eight more shots off target before Parmer reached the back of the net with an assist from Dawson to extend the lead to 4-0. Dawson and
Lauren Maresh attempted two more shots but came up short ending the match with a 4-0 win.
Sophia Dawson led the way, recording seven shots with four on target, with one goal and one assist.
Allie Tredway was pretty close behind with six shots and two on target. Erin Reilley also went a perfect 2-for-2 with shots on goal and recorded one goal.
Olivia Parmer and
Ava Sivadat each recorded a goal as well.
Lauren Maresh and
Esme Alaneme both recorded one assist in the match as well. In goal,
Lily Ames took the start and win, playing for 60 minutes, while
Cassidy Nowlan played for 30 minutes.
Marian will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Mount Vernon Nazarene to take on the Cougars on Wednesday, September 30th at 7 PM.
