INDIANAPOLIS - Due to the increasing threat of severe storms expected to hit the state of Indiana late Saturday afternoon and into Sunday, the Marian women's soccer team has announced they are postponing its scheduled Saturday night match against Spring Arbor to Monday, October 20.
Models and forecasts are predicting storms with wind gusts over 35 miles per hour on Saturday, with widespread heavy rainfall expected around the time of Saturday's scheduled match.
Marian and Spring Arbor have mutually agreed to reschedule the match for the following Monday, October 20, with kickoff from Ascension St. Vincent Field slated for 6:00 p.m. The match rescheduling takes place during the league's bye week, in which both Marian and Spring Arbor will not take the pitch again until Saturday, October 25.Â
Due to the postponement, Monday's reserve team match against Huntington is canceled.
The Knights and Cougars meet Monday at 6:00 p.m.
