Detroit, Mich. - The Marian women's bowling team opened their 2025-26 campaign with a 13th place finish at the Midwest Collegiate Championship over the weekend.
Marian was the top Crossroads League team in the championship finishing in 13th. Over the two day even they recorded a total of 7285 pins. In team play they recorded a total of 4512 pins knocked down, and 2773 in baker play. Milligan University finished in first while Judson and Aquinas wrapped up the top three.Â
Out of the Crossroads Leage teams, Goshen finished in 24th, Huntington finished in 29th, Grace finished in 33rd, and Mount Vernon Nazarene finished in 37th.
Paige Richards led the way finishing in first overall with a total of 1064 pins knocked down, recording a game high of 268 in game one. Alexis Jones was the next Knight to place with 864 points with a game high of 197 in game three.
Phoenix Newkirk finished with a total of 693 bowling in four games with a game high of 183 in game five.
Delaney Rossette also bowled in four games with a total score of 688 and a game high of 225 in game three.
Mary Brooks scored a 553 bowling in three games with a game high of 235 in game one.
Dolores Bauerle bowled in two games with a total of 347 and a game high of 212 in game one.
Avery Hunt also bowled in two games with a total of 303 and a game high of 155 in game four.
Marian competes locally this weekend in the Western Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.
