Women's Bowling Finishes 12th at NAIA National Championships

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The Marian women's bowling team ended their 2024-25 season on Friday morning, as the Knights were eliminated from contention in the NAIA National Tournament. Marian went 0-2 in the tournament bracket in their first-ever national championship appearance.

Marian bowled against Mount Mercy in round three of the championship, taking on the Mustangs after they were defeated in the second round in Friday's first wave. The Mustangs won the first game of the matchup 172-150, and followed with a 201-181 win. Marian kept the score close in game three, but fell on the brink of elimination, as they lost 213-192. 

In the deciding game, Marian was defeated by a 209-200 score, the narrowest margin for the Knights in their two bracket appearances, ending their run at the NAIA Championship.

The Knights finished 12th at the National Championship, and we Crossroads League Tournament winners as they qualified for their first-ever NAIA Championship Appearance.
