INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian softball team announced the second of five completed signings in its 2026 recruiting class, as head coach Scott Fleming announced the signing of Sadey Hughbanks. 

Sadey Hughbanks is a pitcher, coming to Marian from New Palestine High School in 2026. In her junior season, the New Palestine product posted a record of 24-5 and an ERA of 1.87, all while totaling 177 strikeouts in 168 innings of work. Hughbanks led her Dragons team to both sectional and regional championships in 2025, and for her work on the field, she was named as a First Team Hoosier Heritage Conference honoree in addition to being named to the IndyStar 2025 First Team Super Team.

Upon attending Marian next year, she will major in business.
