Marion, Ind. - The men's track and field team had a strong weekend at the IWU Midwest Classic, as the Knights put on a clinic with 11 NAIA standard marks on the weekend. Jeremiah Brown led Marian's efforts with two wins and an A standard time in the 60m, while several athletes set personal best times.

Jeremiah Brown paced the team efforts for the weekend, winning both the 60m and the 200m. Brown won the 60m with a new facility record time at Troyer Fieldhouse with a 6.73 second effort in the finals, hitting an NAIA A Standard. Brown had hit a provisional qualifying time in his prelim run of the 60m. The sophomore finished his weekend with a win in the 200m, while helping Marian's 4x400m relay team finish runner-up.

Tristan Trevino anchored Marian's A Standard 4x800m relay team, as the sophomore, along with Everrett Carlisle, Benjamin Riehle, and Mason Piatt clocked a time of 7:47.62 in the race. Trevino and Charles Leedke would hit a B standard in the 1000m in addition to the weekend highlights, and Olivier Lifrange led a charge of Knights in the 600m with his first place time of 1:20.97. Both Lifrange and Eric Materna hit B standard times in the 600m. 

In field events, Gunner Kovach won the high jump with a B standard mark of 2.03m, while Victor Dailey finished as the runner-up with the same mark. Marko Brajovic won the long jump, Armani Glass finished runner-up in the triple jump, and Christian Rios finished with two NAIA B standard marks in the throws. Rios won the weight throw and was runner-up in the shot put.
