Asheville, N.C. - The Marian men's track and field team finishes its year at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. The Knights finished fourth overall with 44.2 points throughout the last three days. On the final day of competition, the Knights recorded a new school record as well as seven All-American honors.

On the final day of competition, after another prolonged rain delay, Jake Grangier opened up action in the pole vault. Grangier finished sixth overall with a height of 4.65m, earning the first All-American honor of his career. Marzeion Jones closed out action in the field, finishing 11th in the triple jump with a mark of 14.58m.

On the track, the team of Will Osafo, Jeremiah Brown, Michael Hunter, and Jonathon Phillips finished second overall in the 4x100m relay, clocking a new school record of 39.72 and earning All-American honors. In the first individual race of the day, Tristan Trevino and Charles Leedke competed in a tough 1500m battle. Leedke came in ninth with a time of 4:00.63, while Trevino led the way, finishing sixth overall with a time of 4:00.22, earning All-American honors. Eric Materna continued the action, competing in his first event of the day, finishing fourth in the 400m with a time of 47.33 and earning All-American honors. After a short break in the day, Ben Riehle competed in the 800m, finishing in seventh with a time of 1:53.21 and earning All-American honors. Jeremiah Brown competed in the final individual event of the day, finishing fourth in the 200m, clocking a 21.02 and earning All-American honors as well. In the final event of the day, the team of Dexter Parker, Eli Givens, Tre Jones, and Eric Materna finished third in the 4x400m relay, clocking a time of 3:10.61 to earn All-American honors.

The Knights finished off the season in fourth place overall, setting multiple new school records and earning eight All-American honors and an Individual National Championship in the 4x800m relay.
