Upland, Ind. - The Marian competition cheer team finished out their regular season as they competed at the Trojan Invite this past Saturday.
In round one Marian ended up in fifth place with a score of 81.75. Georgetown took home the victory in the first round with a score of 89.5. The Crossroads League foe Indiana Wesleyan, Saint Francis, and Taylor all placed ahead of the Knights with the Wildcats finishing second, the Cougars finishing in third, and the Trojans finishing in fourth. Spring Arbor and Huntington finished below Marian while Grace competed as an exhibition.
In round two the Knights finished in fourth with an improvement finishing with a score of 84.3. Indiana Wesleyan finished victorious in round two with a score of 89.97 while Saint Francis and Taylor weren't far behind with the Cougars recording a score of 87.52 and the Trojans recording a score of 87.2. Spring Arbor and Huntington finished after the Knights and Grace competed as an exhibition once more.
The Knights are back in action in two weekends on March 14th as they travel up to Mount Vernon to compete in the Crossroads League Championships.
