Bullhead City, Ariz. - The Marian men's golf team finished 12th at Wayland Baptist's The Battle on Tuesday afternoon, as the team completed the 54-hole event.
Weston Ogden once again led the Knights, finishing 20th overall to lead the team.
The Knights shot a 932 as their three-round team score, good for 12th place in a field loaded with top-25 competitors. Marian scored a 317 in round one on Monday, and increased their standing over the final two rounds with team scores of 305 and 310. Wayland Baptist won their tournament, scoring an 887 over the two days to take the victory. Keiser, Oklahoma City, OUAZ, and Texas Wesleyan rounded out the top-five scoring teams in the field.Â
Weston Ogden continued his strong spring season, finishing 20th overall to lead Marian in the tournament. The junior shot a 227 overall for the week, firing round scores of 77, 72, and 78 over the two days.
Brandon Heffner had a consistent two days, shooting a 78, 77, and 78 to total 233 on his scorecard, good for 40th place.Â
Nolan Potter ended the tournament strong, finishing 67th overall with his 83+80+75=238 score over the two days.
Lane Zedrick scored an 86th place finish for the three rounds, shooting scores of 86, 76, and 80 to total his 242 score.
Augie Mann scored outside of the team placements, finishing 88th overall with his 244Â score. Mann had round scores of 79, 86, and 79.Â
Marian next competes at Dalton State's Invite, taking place in Rocky Face, Ga. on April 7 and 8.Â
