SILVIS, Ill. - The Marian men's golf team ended their 2024-25 season on Thursday evening, as the Knights missed the cut for the final round of the 2025 NAIA National Championships.
The Knights entered the second round of the championship in 22nd place, needing to gain ground in order to remain in the tournament. As the Knights teed off their round, the team moved into 15th position, needing to hold their ground to make the team cut. Marian held much of their first nine holes as a team over the cut line, but after the turn, a string of bogey's on the second nine holes for the day dropped Marian below the line. The Knights shaved four strokes off their first round score, carding a 296 on Thursday, ending their NAIA Championship run in 20th place and a 596 total score.
Nolan Potter ended with a team-best 149 total for the two rounds, firing a 73 in the second round of the championship.
Lane Zedrick scored a 150 total, shooting a 78 in the final round of his season.
Weston Ogden tied Zedrick's 150, as he ended the championship with a team-best round of 72, firing one-over par on Thursday.
Brandon Heffner scored a 76 in the second round, ending his Marian career with a 151 total score. Rounding out the lineup,
Luke Beetz scored a 152 total for 36 holes, scoring a 75 in his final collegiate round on Thursday evening.
Marian had seven top-five performances on the season, winning three championships, including their third consecutive Crossroads League Championship.
