Marion, Ind. - The Marian men's track and field team wrapped up their season competing in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships. The Knights finished off their year placing fourth of of 69 teams.
Marian recorded 43 points throughout the week to place in fourth overall. William Carey finished just above the Knights in third with 44 points. Madonna finished in second with 53 points and British Columbia took home the championship with 74 points overall.
Christian Rios opened up the final day for Marian earning his third All-American honor of the week with his fourth place finish in the shot put with a mark of 17.44m.
Brenden Endres continued action in the pole vault but made no height.Â
On the track Charlie Leedke and
Tristan Trevino competed in the 1500m with Leedke earning an All-American honor with his eighth place finish and a time of 3:49.61. Trevino finished in fourth with a time of 3:47.78.
Eric Materna earned an All-American honor in the 400m with a fifth place finish and a time of 46.42. Trevino earned another All-American honor with his seventh place finish in the 800m recording a time of 1:51.47. In the finals section the men's 4x100m relay did not finish.
The Knights finish the week off earning 15 All-American honors in the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
