Stunkel's Fourth Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year Honor Headlines Marian's All-CL Haul

JACKSON, Mich. - The Crossroads League announced its 2025 Softball All-League honors on Tuesday, following Marian's third-straight sweep of the CL regular season and tournament championships.

The Knights claimed nine All-Crossroads League honors, including four First-Team awards. MU also took CL Pitcher-of-the-Year honors for Olivia Stunkel, with Stunkel joining Abbey Hofmann, Grace Meyer and Lily Wendt as First-Team All-CL selections.

For the fourth consecutive year, Olivia Stunkel has been named as the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year as well as First Team All-Crossroads League, as the senior had a dominant season in 2025. Stunkel is 26-0 overall on the season, and boasts the second most wins in the NAIA, while also standing out as the only top pitcher to carry an undefeated record into the NAIA Tournament. In Crossroads League play, Stunkel carried an 18-0 record and 1.43 ERA, appearing in 19 games. The senior tossed nine complete games during the conference season, and struck out 117 batters. On the season overall, Stunkel has 159 strikeouts and 14 complete games, tossing two of her 14 total complete games in the Crossroads League Tournament.

Stunkel is one of two players in program history to earn the Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year in each of her four seasons, joining pitching coach and 2019 alumnae Breena Smith with the distinction.

Catcher Grace Meyer earned All-Crossroads League First Team honors for the second consecutive season, taking her game to a new level as a senior as she enters in the NAIA Tournament with a career-high .423 batting average. Meyer has played in all 51 games for Marian this season, and has roped 14 doubles, one triple, and four home runs while driving in 37 runs on the year. Against the Crossroads League, Meyer held a .436 batting average, and slugged .703. The catcher was also named to the Gold Glove team, committing just two errors on the season while making 176 putouts, holding a .989 fielding percentage. The senior has also caught three runners stealing from behind the plate.

Abbey Hofmann was named to both the All-Crossroads League First Team and the Crossroads League Gold Glove team, earning First Team for the second time in her career while claiming her first Gold Glove award. Hofmann is third on the team in batting average with a .424 rate, and leads the Knights in home runs on the year with seven. The sophomore also leads the team in triples with four, and has driven in 48 runs while scoring a team-best 61 times this season. The lead-off batter became Marian's first player in recent history to hit lead-off home runs in back-to-back games. In the field, Hofmann holds a .980 fielding percentage, making 95 putouts while adding one assist from the outfield.

Lily Wendt rounded out Marian's First Team All-Crossroads League honors, with the junior making her first career appearance on the team. Wendt moved into Marian's starting position at first base this year while also seeing time at third base, and on the year was the team's leading hitter entering the Crossroads League Tournament. Wendt hit a red-hot .440 during conference games, batting a career-high .431 entering the NAIA Tournament. The junior leads the Knights in doubles with 19, and is also the team-leader in RBI with 56. Wendt is second on the team in putouts this season with 174, and holds a .984 fielding percentage while playing multiple positions.

Jenna Minnix was named to the All-Crossroads League Honorable Mention Team, earning her second career team honor from the league. Minnix, who was named to the Second Team and Gold Glove Team as a freshman in 2022, had a breakout season as a senior, batting a career- and team-best .434 entering the NAIA Tournament. Minnix has 53 base hits on the year, totaling 30 RBI and 40 runs scored. The senior split time throughout the season as Marian's starter in center field, right field, and first base, and is carrying a perfect fielding percentage this season.

Rounding out Marian's honors is Hayley Greene, who was named to the All-Crossroads League Gold Glove Team for the third consecutive year. Greene has a .974 fielding percentage at the hot corner, and has made 70 assists to go with 41 putouts. The third baseman has turned three double plays.

In addition to Marian's All-Crossroads League honors, five Knights were named to the Crossroads League Tournament Team, for their efforts in last week's tournament. Olivia Stunkel went 3-0 in the circle and was named to the team, as were position players Ally Malone, Abbey Hofmann, Grace Meyer, and Jenna Minnix. Hofmann was the Crossroads League Player of the Week after batting .750 during the tournament, while Minnix hit .714 in the three games, reaching base safely seven times. Meyer batted .500 in the tournament and drove home three runs, and Malone hit her first career grand slam in a win over Indiana Wesleyan, while also playing perfect defense at shortstop, making nine putouts and five assists.

The All-Crossroads League honors were voted on by the league's head softball coaches.
