AUSTIN, Texas - College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced Wednesday the 2025 Academic All-America women's tennis teams for NCAA Division I-II-III and NAIA, as Marian University women's tennis earned representation on the NAIA All-America teams.
Michelle Irigoyen was named to the All-America First Team.
Two of the 12 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA women's tennis teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The six members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.81.
Irigoyen helped Marian to the NAIA National Championship for the first time in program history during the 2024-25 season, with the Knights winning their first-ever match, men's or women's, at the NAIA Championship. The Knights went 1-1 before ending their run in the Second Round of the National Championship. Irigoyen also helped Marian earn their best-ever ranking in program history, as Marian was ranked as high as No. 12 during the season.
Marian went 15-9 in the 2024-25 season, finishing as the Crossroads League Regular Season and Tournament Runner-Up.
