JACKSON, Mich. - After opening the 2026 portion of the team's schedule last Friday, the Marian women's track and field team earned both the Crossroads League Field and Track Athletes of the Week, with
Ozofu Magaji and
Hanna Reuter earning the honors. The honor for Magaji is the first in her career, while Reuter's is her third career honor, with this being the first during indoor season.
Magaji logged a pair of top-three finishes for Marian at the Indiana Tech Invite, taking second with a B-standard in the weight throw and ending third in the shot put. Magaji posted distances of 17.05 meters in the weight throw and 13.16 meters in the shot put.
Reuter finished in first place in the 600 meters for MU and provisionally qualified for Nationals with a time of 1:36.75. Reuter also finished runner-up in the long jump with a leap of 5.52 meters, and scored a top-eight finish in the 60m on the track.Â
The Knights will compete in a split squad this weekend, sending athletes to the Indiana State Fairgrounds and Taylor University.Â
