Woman's Track and Field Hit Eight NAIA Standards Over Weekend

The Marian women's track and field team competed at two separate meets over the weekend, with members of the program competing at The University of Louisville's PNC Lenny Lyles Invite, and the remainder of the squad competed at Notre Dame University's Meyo Invite. Throughout both meets, Marian hit eight separate NAIA standards.

At Louisville, Marian recorded six separate NAIA standards. The Knights were led by Katie Woods, who hit A standard in the mile. Hanna Reuter hit a pair of standards in the 400m and 4x400m relay.

Wrapping up the action at Notre Dame, Delaney Teachnor led the way, placing in the top-10 and earning NAIA A Standards in the Pole Vault.

800m: Summer Rempe (2:17.41)
Mile: Katie Woods (6th, 4:47.06, NAIA A Standard), Rempe (24th, 4:59.18, NAIA B Standard)
4x400m Relay: Marian A (Ha. Reuter, Holli Reuter, Claire Lange, Jones) (20th, 3:53.17, NAIA B Standard)
60m Hurdles: Nina Marinkovic (5th, 8.66, NAIA B Standard)
Long Jump: Marinkovic (5.13m)
Triple Jump: Ciarra Moore (11.26m)
Pole Vault (Meyo Invite): Delaney Teachnor (8th, 3.68m, NAIA A Standard)
Shot Put: Ozofu Magaji (12.93m)
Weight Throw: Magaji (16th, 17.17m, NAIA B Standard)

Next Weekend the Knights will compete at two separate meets, with half of the squad staying in Indianapolis to compete in the Fairgrounds Invite at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Friday, the 6th, and Saturday, the 7th. While the other part of the squad travels to Marion, Ind., to compete in the IWU Midwest Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday, the 7th.
