Marian Women's Track & Field Kick Off Outdoor Season a Miami (Ohio) and IWU

The Marian Women's Track & Field Team opened up their outdoor season this weekend, competing at the Blizzard Buster hosted by Miami (Ohio) and the IWU Polar Bear Classic.

At the Blizzard Buster, the Knights finished in eighth place out of 12 teams. Catalla Jones and Gracie Fields highlighted the action on the track with thier fifth place finishes. Jones finished fifth in the 200m with a time of 25.14. Fields finished in fifth in the 800m with a time of 5:18.48. In the field, Alivia Lilly led the way, finishing first in the triple jump with a mark of 10.42m.

At the IWU Polar Bear Classic, the multis athletes and throwers competed. Bella Dean ran the only event on the track with a 2:43.79 in the 800m. In the field, Grace Feltz finished first in the Javelin with a mark of 37.95m, and Gabi Bilbrey finished first in the discus with a mark of 44.71m. Delaney Teachnor also hit an NAIA B Standard in her first place performance in the pole vault with a mark of 3.68m.

Marian will be back in action on Friday, March 27th, hosting the Marian Knight Open with action starting at 8 AM in Indianapolis, Ind.
