Gainesville, Fla. - The Marian women's track and field team opens up the NAIA Indoor National Championships in Gainesville, Fla., on Wednesday. After three scored events, the Knights come in 13th out of 17 teams.
After three scored events, Central Methodist leads the way with 19 points, while Midway is currently in second with 13, and a tie between Dickinson State and Siena Heights are tied for third with 10 points. Out of the other Crossroads League teams competing, Bethel is currently in seventh with seven points.
Delaney Teachnor opened up the action in the pole vault, finishing ninth overall with a mark of 3.65m. The Women's 4x800m relay was the first running event of the day, with Bella Murch,
Liz Fischer,
Gracie Fields, and
Grace Goecke finishing in 20th, clocking a time of 9:29.84.Â
Another school record was shattered in the 4x400m prelims as
Holli Reuter,
Emma Edwards,
Jovana Milosevic, and
Hanna Reuter ran a 3:44.83 to finish second and qualify for the finals race. In the field,
Ciarra Moore brought home the first All-American honor of the meet with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 11.95m. The DMR wrapped up day one action with their six-place finish. The team of

Kathy Soriano,
Claire Lange, and
Summer Rempe was able to secure an automatic qualifying finish with their time of 12:08.85.Â
Marian will be back in action tomorrow as
Katie Woods opens up the day in the 1-mile prelim at 11:45, followed by
Nina Marinkovic in the 60m Hurdles at 12:30 PM. In the field,
Ozofu Magaji and Nhydia Watson both compete in the Weight Throw at 12 PM.
