Knights Record One All-American Honor Day 2 Indoor Nationals

Gainesville, Fla. - After the second day of the 2026 Indoor National Championships, the Marian women's track and field team currently holds 19th place. Nhaydia Watson highlighted the day with her NAIA All-American Honor in the Weight Throw. 

Katie Woods started the action on the track with her fourth-place performance in the 1-mile prelims, clocking an automatic qualifying time of 4:58.35. In the field, Ozofu Magaji and Nhaydia Watson both competed in the Weight Throw. Magaji finished 15th with a mark of 16.50m. Watson led the way, earning NAIA All-American Honors, finishing seventh with a mark of 17.34m.

In the hurdles, Nina Marinkovic finished 15th with a time of 8.83. Emma Edwards followed up in the 400m prelims, finishing sixth overall with a qualifying time of 55.18. Hanna Reuter, Claire Lange, and Holli Reuter were next up on the track in the 600m. Holli finished with a time of 1:35.98, placing 20th, while Lange finished with a time of 1:33.78, placing ninth overall. Hanna led the way, clocking a time of 1:33.56 and finishing in seventh place overall, qualifying for the finals section tomorrow. Wrapping up action for the day were Summer Rempe, Katie Woods, and Gracynn Hinkley in the 1000m prelims. Hinkley finished in ninth with a time of 2:55.18, while Woods automatically qualified with her third-place finish and a time of 2:53.60. Rempe led the way, finishing first overall with a time of 2:51.21, automatically qualifying for tomorrow's race.

Marian is back in action tomorrow for the final day of the NAIA Indoor National Championships. Brooke Coffman opens up action in the field at 11:30 am in the High Jump. On the track, Katie Woods opens up action in the 1-mile at 12:25 pm, followed by Emma Edwards in the 400m at 1:05 pm.
