The Marian men's track and field team split squads over the weekend, with half of the team traveling down to Knoxville, Tennessee, to compete in the Tennessee Invite. The other half of the squad went up to Muncie, Ind., to compete in the We Fly Challenge hosted by Ball State. Over the weekend, the Knights set a pair of new school records and recorded five NAIA Standards.

At the Tennessee Invite, Eric Materna led the way on the track, finishing third in the 400m, running an NAIA A Standard. Will Osafo also finished in the top-5 in the 100m with a fourth-place time of 10.40, running an NAIA B Standard. In the relay, the 4x400m led the way with the team of Eli Givens, Malik Ferdinand, Tre Jones, and Eric Materna, not only finishing first in the event and earning an NAIA A Standard, but also breaking their previous school record set at the NAIA National Championships with their time of 3:08.14. In the field, Marzion Jones led the way, finishing second in the triple jump, earning an NAIA A Standard, and setting a new school record and PR in the Triple Jump with a mark of 15.29m. 

At the We Fly Challenge, Ben Riehle led the way on the track, finishing second in the 800m, running a 1:52.50. In the field, Caden Haywood led the way, finishing first in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.50.
