KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Marian (Ind.) junior Emma Weiler led the third-ranked Knights to an upset over No. 1 Keiser (Fla.) at last week's Music City Classic in Tennessee, winning the event in a field of 105 golfers from 20 teams to collect the final NAIA Women's Golfer of the Week designation of the 2025-26 season.
Weiler opened with an even-par 72 in the first round and posted back-to-back 70s over her final 36 holes, finishing the event 4-under par (212).
The Batesville, Ind., native lifted the Knights to an 11-stroke win over the top-ranked Seahawks, with team scores of 286, 289, 294, the first two numbers opening a 12-shot lead over Keiser through 36 holes.
Weiler's first round saw six pars and three birdies that offset three bogeys, and in the second round, she caught fire early, opening with birdies at No. 2 and No. 3, her first two holes of the day. She added two more birdies on the front nine and another on the back, erasing three back-nine bogeys to shoot 70.
Her third-round 70 was a contrast, making 16 pars around back-to-back birdies at the eighth and ninth holes.
Weiler won the event by one stroke over Keiser's Sophia Sindersberger, the second round proving to be the difference, as Sindersberger matched Weiler's scores in the first and third rounds. The two were the only players under par in the event.
Weiler also became the fourth NAIA women's golfer to earn multiple weekly awards in 2025-26, claiming the same honor on April 1. She joins Sindersberger, who won the award on Oct. 22 and March 4, Makena Junkin (Texas Wesleyan; Sept. 17, March 11), and Sara Burger, from Dalton State (Ga.), in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 1 and 8.
Marian is in action May 4-5 in the Crossroads League Championship, at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Ind.
