Men's Track and Field Record Six NAIA Standards

Louisville, Ky. - The Marian men's track and field team recorded six NAIA Standards at the Jim Freeman / Clark Wood Open.

On the track, Eric Materna leads the way with an NAIA A Standard, finishing fourth in the 400m. Will Osafo recorded a pair of NAIA B Standards in the 100m and 200m, while Brown recorded one in the 200m. In the field, Marzeion Jones led the way in the triple jump, finishing second and recording an NAIA B Standard.

100m: Will Osafo (5th, 10.40, NAIA B Standard), Jeremiah Brown (6th, 10.43)
200m: Brown (4th, 21.02, NAIA B Standard), Osafo (7th, 21.10, NAIA B Standard)
400m: Eric Materna (4th, 46.83, NAIA A Standard)
800m: Rick Williams (6th, 1:52.40)
1500m: Sam Sienkowski (3:54.73)
110m Hurdles: Henry Dixon (15.44)
400m Hurdles: Greg Hueston (56.79)
3000m Steeple: Travis Running (10:14.92)
4x400m Relay: Malik Ferdinand, Materna, Eli Givens, Dexter Parker (4th, 3:10.85, NAIA A Standard)
High Jump: Ayden Eckstein (1st, 2.03m), Gunner Kovach (3rd, 2.03m)
Pole Vault: Jack Grangier (8th, 4.62m)
Triple Jump: Marzeion Jones (2nd, 14.67m, NAIA B Standard)

The Knights are back in action next weekend as they travel up to Marion, Ind. to compete in the Crossroads League Championships with action starting on Thursday and wrapping up on Friday.
