Tempe, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ("ITA") is pleased to announce the 2026 ITA NAIA Women's Regional Award recipients. Every year, the ITA recognizes coaches and student-athletes for their excellence both on the court and in their communities throughout the season.
The NAIA regional awards include: ITA/Dunlop Coach of the Year, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship, ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Most Improved Player, ITA Senior Player of the Year, ITA Player to Watch, and ITA Community Service Award.
After the 2025-26 regular season, the Marian women's tennis program recorded two East Regional awards. Senior Emma Chrome earned the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship award, while assistant coach Mitch Trammell earned the ITA Assistant Coach of the Year honor for the East Region.
Marian will play in the NAIA Tournament today, May 12, taking on William Woods in their first match of the event.
