GREENWOOD, Ind. - On Tuesday, May 12, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and Academic All-America committee announced its 2025-26 Women's Tennis Academic All-District Team. The Marian women's tennis program earned four CSC All-District Team honors this season, with
Yasmin Imamniyazova,
Ana Barbosa Fernandez, and
Michelle Irigoyen each earning their second career honor, while sophomore
Ana Lopez Torres earned her first career award.
The CSC Academic All-District award is given to a student-athlete who maintains a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically. In order to be eligible, nominees must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition, such as ITAs and non-team scored events, do not count).
Marian was one of four Crossroads League schools to earn a maximum four honors, joining Goshen, Indiana Wesleyan, and Mount Vernon Nazarene. Grace was the fifth of five schools with at least one honor this year.
For the Knights, three second-time honorees were recognized for work in the classroom as
Yasmin Imamniyazova,
Ana Barbosa Fernandez, and
Michelle Irigoyen earned their second career awards, while
Ana Lopez Torres was mentioned as a first-time recipient.
Imamniyazova, Torres, and Irigoyen are all on in the ballot for the CSC Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on June 3.
Marian finished its season on May 13, falling in the NAIA National Tournament Second Round to LSU Alexandria. The Knights turned in a final record of 17-7 this season.
