The Marian men's track and field team completed the regular season on Friday, running at Indiana State's Sycamore Open and Indiana's Billy Hayes Invite. Marian had multiple standards set on the day, and saw some athletes improve on marks as the team gears up for nationals.

Jeremiah Brown hit a new season-best time in the 100m with his 10.39-second race in the 100m prelims. Brown would go on to win the finals with a 10.61-second effort. Will Osafo won the 200m with a 21.39-second time, and Marko Brajovic won the long jump with a distance of 6.94m. 

Marian's 4x100m relay team at Indiana State headlined the performances, as the team of Osafo, Brown, Michael Hunter, and Jonathon Phillips hit an A standard with a time of 40.49 seconds. 

At Indiana University, Tre Jones had one of four NAIA B standard marks, finishing third in the 400m with a season-best 47.56-second race. Benjamin Riehle won the 800m with a B standard time of 1:51.62, while Mason Piatt trailed his teammate by 0.08 seconds, finishing second to get a B standard. Benjamin Moster turned in the final standard, finishing as the runner-up with a new personal best time in the 3000m steeplechase of 9:22.67. 

The NAIA will announce qualifiers and relays next week, as Marian will now set their sights on the NAIA National Championship. This year's championships are in Asheville, North Carolina, from May 20-22.
