The Marian women's track and field team completed its last set of events before the NAIA Championships, competing at both the IU Billy Hayes Open and the ISU Sycamore Open on Friday in their last chance qualifying events. Marian had multiple records on the day and one new NAIA qualifying mark. 

Headlining Marian's day at the two meets were the 4x100m relay, who set a new school record with their 46.31 time. Catalla Jones, Kyla Bradberry, Armoney Clay, and Jovana Milosevic moved up to 11th in the NAIA with their new school record, shaving 0.29 seconds off their best time this season. 

Katie Woods broke her own school record at IU with a 2:07.69 time, placing sixth in the invite event, while Summer Rempe hit a new personal best time and moved to second in the program with her winning open time of 2:10.36. 

Nina Marinkovic is the newest qualfier for the Knights, as she hit a 14.16-second time in the 100m hurdles at Indiana State, scoring a B standard effort. Ozofu Magaji hit another B standard in the shot put, and Emma Edwards had another strong run with a B standard time in the 400m. 

Sabrina Siems ended her Marian career with a school record in the 3000m steeplechase, breaking a nine-year-old record held by Kiersten Schrope (Martin).

The NAIA will announce qualifiers and relays next week, as Marian will now set their sights on the NAIA National Championship. This year's championships are in Asheville, North Carolina, from May 20-22.
