Jackson, Mich. —- Marian University junior Summer Rempe and senior Tristan Trevino were named the Crossroads League Women's and Men's Cross Country Runners of the Week, respectively, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Rempe was the top NAIA finisher at the George Dales Invite, hosted by Western Michigan University on Friday. The Noblesville native ran a 6K time of 22:22.3, good for 36th overall in a meet loaded with Division I competition.
 
Trevino finished fifth on the men's side of the George Dales Invite with an 8K mark of 24:54.0. Trevino led Marian Men's Cross Country to a runner-up finish as a team at the meet, besting five Division I programs in Central Michigan, Akron, Bowling Green, Dayton and Oakland.
 
Marian Cross Country returns to action in October, racing in the Ray Bullock Invitational for a preview of the conference championship course, hosted by Taylor University, on Friday, Oct. 9.
