INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian track and field program has signed Delaney Teachnor to the signing class of 2024, as announced by the staff on Friday.
Delaney Teachnor is from the Indianapolis area and is a Noblesville, Indiana native, attending Noblesville High School. Teachnor has had a decorative career for the Millers, as she has been apart of a state title in 2023 and a runner-up finish in 2022. Teachnor has had a successful career as a pole vaulter, making the 2023 Indiana Junior All-Star team, as well as claiming fourth place at the IHSAA state finals, second at Regionals, and first place at sectionals after clearing a PR of 12'6. In the indoor season, Teachnor set a new pole vault record at Noblesville HS with a height of 12'1, while also finishing first at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic that same season.
Off the track, Delaney is a certified nursing assistant and certified lifeguard. She also has been apart of two mission trips to the country of Panama, and serves weekly at her church in the outreach ministry.
Teachnor plans to major in nursing at Marian University, and is the daughter of Dustin and Jacki Teachnor. Delaney has one sister, Mia.
