Edwards and Lange Record Two New School Records at Louisville

Louisville, Ky. - The Marian women's track and field team competed at the Jim Freeman / Clark Wood Open hosted by the University. The Knights fired off two new school records over the weekend and three NAIA Standards.

On the track, Emma Edwards led the way, recording a new school record of 54.91 in the 400m, beating her previous record set at the Tennessee Invite a couple of weeks ago. Claire Lange also broke her previous school record in the 400m, clocking a 1:02.27. The only field events competing over the weekend were the jumps squad and pole vaulters, with Brooke Coffman hitting a season's best in the high jump.

400m: Edwards (5th, 54.91, NAIA A Standard)
800m: Gracie Fields (2:16.93)
1500m: Gracynn Hinkley (4:40.78)
100m Hurdles: Nina Marinkovic (14.50)
400m Hurdles: Claire Lange (1:02.27, NAIA B Standard)
4x400m Relay: Jovana Milosevic, Edwards, Lange, Hanna Reuter (10th, 3:47.40, NAIA A Standard)
High Jump: Brooke Coffman (1.63m)
Pole Vault: Ashlyn Schwab (3.37m)
Triple Jump: Alivia Lilly (10.02m)

The Knights are back in action next weekend as they travel up to Marion, Ind., to compete in the Crossroads League Championships with action starting on Thursday and wrapping up on Friday.
