INDIANAPOLIS - The Marian men's track and field team competed in their first meet at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Fall Creek Pavilion on Friday and Saturday, as they competed in the IUPUI Invitational. Marian's first meet of the season at the fairgrounds featured three new NAIA standard marks met by the Knights this season.
The Knights earned three wins at the IUPUI Invitational, and in total hit 10 NAIA standards over the course of the two-day meet. Marian's newest members to hit a provisional NAIA standard at the B mark were
Armani Glass in his runner-up finish in the long jump, the distance medley relay's first place finish, and the 4x400 meter relay. Composing the DMR team were
Robin Aguilar-Gonzalez,
Andrew McDade,
Tristan Trevino, and
Blake Hipkiss, while the 4x400m relay team was made up of
Richard Dube,
Amarion Sanders,
Eli Givens, and
Olivier Lifrange.Â
Trevino and
Manny Manneh hit an NAIA standard in their respective events for a second time this season, while
Brenden Endres finished fourth for a second standard mark this season. Marian's throws continued to show their dominance on the season, as
Christian Rios,
Isaiah Tipping,
Jacob Netral, and
Kevaughn Dawn all hit an A standard mark. Netral and Lifrange joined Marian's list of winners over the weekend, winning the shot put and and 400m, respectively.
