Box Score Hilton Head, S.C. - The Marian men's tennis team rebounded from their last three spring game losses with a win Monday morning, as the Knights took down Lawrence Tech with a 5-2 score. Marian is now 9-6 overall on the season.

The Knights got off to a good starting point with Jones McNamar and Jan Bartolome taking down Lawrence Tech with a victory in a tie breaker with scores 7-6, 7-1. Both James Ashworth and Jona Henze at No. 2, and Andy Ilett and Marc Soriano fell to the Blue Devils with a score of 7-5. Allowing Lawrence Tech to lead against Marian 1-0 going into singles.

Marian took initiative going into the singles match with Ashworth winning after three sets with 3-6, 6-2, and 1-0 in the tie breaker at No.1. Henze fell at No.2 with 2-6, 3-6 scores. Luis Soloanski gained the victory at No. 3 with 4-6, 7-5, and 1-0 in the tie breaker. Soriano quickly won at No.4 with a 6-3, 6-2 victory. 

The Knights continued to dominate in the singles with Ilett taking the victory at No. 5 with 6-3, 7-6 (5) in the tie breaker. To finish Marian out Bartolome took the 6-3, 6-1 victory to seal the win for the Knights. 

Marian will play on March 5th, continuing their spring break matches with a contest against the College of Costal Georgia.
