GREENWOOD, Ind. - On Tuesday, May 12, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and Academic All-America committee announced its 2025-26 Men's Tennis Academic All-District Team. The Marian men's tennis program earned four CSC All-District Team honors this season, with
James Ashworth,
Iyan Cresens, and Juan Garcia-Tunon each earning the honor for the first time in their careers, while
Jan Bartolome earned his second career honor.
The CSC Academic All-District award is given to a student-athlete who maintains a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while having reached sophomore status academically. In order to be eligible, nominees must be in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's days of competition (regional competition, such as ITAs and non-team scored events, do not count).Â
Marian joined Indiana Wesleyan as one of the two Crossroads League schools to earn a maximum of four honors. Grace, Taylor, Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Goshen each earned at least one honor in the 2026 season.
For the Knights, three first-time honorees were recognized for work in the classroom as
James Ashworth,
Iyan Cresens, and Juan Garcia-Tunon earned their first career awards, while
Jan Bartolome was mentioned as a two-time recipient. Ashworth will carry on in the ballots for the CSC Academic All-America honors, which will be announced on June 3.Â
