Box Score Huntington, Ind. - The Marian men's tennis team suffers first loss of the season falling to Huntington 4-3. The Knights are now 2-1 overall and in conference. 

Marian claimed their win of the day at No. 1 doubles with James Ashworth and Tjark Kunkel claiming the 6-3 win. Marcos Ramos Cabrera and Juan Garcia-Tuñon fell at No. 2 doubles 3-6 while, Jan Bartolome and Marc Soriano put up a tough fight but fell short at No. 3 doubles 5-7 to allow Huntington to claim the first point. 

Kunkel was quick to fire back claiming the first singles point at No. 3 with consecutive final counts of 6-4. Bogdan Precpescu put up a hard fight finishing next at No. 2 but falling in final counts of 7-5 and 7-6 (6) in a tie breaker. Ashworth was next to finish at No. 1 singles with final counts of 7-6 (6) in a tie breaker and 6-4. 

Ramos Cabrera lost at No. 4 singles with final counts of 6-2, 4-6 and 4-6. Bartolome claimed the Knights second point with a win at No. 6 with consecutive final counts of 6-3. Soriano claimed Marian's final point with a win at No. 5 final counts of 3-6, 6-7(5) in a tie breaker, and 0-1 (6) in the second tie breaker.

The Knights are back in action on Monday September 9th at home against grace starting at 11:00 a.m.
