Jackson, Mich. - Coming off a strong weekend at the Wright State Raider Classic, the Marian bowling teams were recognized with both the men's and women's Bowler of the Week awards in the Crossroads League. Hayden Fowler was the winner for the men, while Paige Richards won for the women.

Fowler finished second in the individual standings at the Wright State Classic, bowling a score of 928 through four games. Fowler helped MU win the team title and rolled a game-high of 265. The athlete of the week honor is the first for the freshman.

Richards led Marian at the Wright State Classic with an eighth-place individual finish. Richards scored a 776 over four games, posting a top single-game score of 220. Richards has been named athlete of the week three times this season.

Marian next competes November 22 and 23 in O'Fallon, Illinois, competing at the annual National Collegiate Team Match Games.
