INDIANAPOLIS - With the WHAC Tournament Semifinals nearing, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athlete Conference has announced their 2025 honors and awards. Marian women's lacrosse earned 24 total honors from the league this season, including Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year won by
Olivia Dean, and Coach of the Year
Allie Storke-Sneed.
Marian's
Olivia Dean headlined Marian's honorees, as the freshman became Marian's first-ever recipient of the WHAC Defensive Player of the Year, while also earning the second-ever WHAC Newcomer of the Year honor in program history. Dean led Marian in caused turnovers this season with 27, and ranks in the top-15 nationally this season in caused turnovers. Dean also has 43 ground ball recoveries this season, ranking top-20 in the NAIA while leading Marian. The freshman started and played in all 13 games for Marian this season, and scored three goals and dished out one assist as well on the year.

Olivia Dean on the WHAC First Team was
Ella Grace Giedd,
Ruby Mason, and
Alex Dean. Giedd leads the Knights in points scored this season with 62, scoring 35 goals while dishing out a team-high 26 assists. Giedd is second on the team in both caused turnovers (20) and ground balls (30), and has scored two game-winning goals this year. Mason leads the Knights in goals scored with 40 on the year, while assisting on 16 other goals for a total of 56 points. Mason, the leader in the draw circle for the Knights, has a team-high 51 wins this year.
Alex Dean earned her first-career All-WHACÂ honor after scoring 21 goals in her first season as a starter, posting the third-most goals entering the postseason. Dean has also notched six assists, and won 33 draw controls.
Marian had three members earn All-WHAC Second Team, with
Rylie Boezeman,
Sarah Travis, and
Chase Searcy earning the honors. Boezeman has scored 12 goals this season for Marian, and assisted on another while winning 18 draw controls. Searcy and Travis have anchored Marian's defensive unit this season, with the two combining for 17 caused turnovers and 44 ground ball recoveries.Â
Head coach
Allie Storke-Sneed was named the WHAC Coach of the Year, an honor bestowed to the head coach for the first time in her career. Storke, who led Marian to a 10-4 regular season record and the program's first-ever WHAC Championship, earned three top-10 victories throughout the season. Storke was also named as the WHAC Champions of Character Coach of the Year, an honor she has earned twice in her career. Joining Storke on the Champions of Character Team for the WHAC is senior,
Anna Moore.
The Knights had 12 honorees on the All-WHAC Academic Team. To be eligible for all-academic honors, a student-athlete must maintain at 3.25 cumulative GPA, be a sophomore in academic standing, and be enrolled at the university for one full year. Marian's All-WHAC Academic Team members are:

The Knights will receive their honors tomorrow night, as they host the WHAC Tournament Semifinals at Ascension St. Vincent Field. Marian will take on No. 3 seed Indiana Tech, and the game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
